New Dan McCarthy

May 5, 2009

Dan McCarthy just dropped his May print (well, technically it dropped yesterday) called Dark Days which you can snag a copy of here. It will set you back $40 (plus s+h) and should be a run in the 500s. Its also worth looking into his print of the month club, which is well worth the cost.

Nate Duval – Get Em While You Can

May 5, 2009

So Nate Duval’s Copper City print came out a while ago, and his Silver City day / night prints have been out even longer. But the good news is, they are still available.  My friend got the Silver City prints (both day and night) and while he enjoy how sick they look, I sat around kicking myself for missing out. Randomly I was on his site and saw that he still had a few of each print available. So I jumped an bought all 3 (ok, so I might have been a little overeager). I got them the other day and they are amazing. The pictures on his site don’t really do them justice. They are way more detailed and intricate in person. Seriously, they are ridiculous. They are in the $40-$65 range, but definitely worth it. And, to prove that he is an all around awesome dude, he sent me an AP of his Night Time in the City print, which is a cool move on his part. Silver City prints after the jump.

Some Prints from Swoon

May 3, 2009

For my first real post I decided to bring up two awesome prints from the artist Swoon. The first is an edition of 250 signed and numbered called “Swimming Cities”. It’s listed as being approximately 20″ x 20″ but I’ve heard that it’s closer to 15″ X 15″. Either way it’s an awesome piece and a decent price for a Swoon print at $150. You can pick it up on the Swimming Cities website: http://www.swimmingcities.org/support/smallprint/
The second print has been dropped for a little while now. It’s called “Switchback Sisters” and is an incredible 7-color screenprint with stain on archival paper. It’s listed as being 11″ X 32″ with an edition size of 106 signed and numbered. However, it’s quite pricey at $700. If you’re looking to throw your frugality out the window or just have a decent amount of cash to drop, you can snag the print over at Paper Monster: http://papermonster.net/item.php?item=57
